In this episode, Bronwyn Schweigerdt, anger expert, helps to unpack anger, what it really is, and how to release yourself from its hold in your mind and body.
Bronwyn discusses how anger is real but it is a secondary emotion, so it is really important to look within to find the true emotion felt that is coming out as anger. Anger is not bad. No emotion is bad. Emotions are messages trying to get your attention to look within to what we really need.
She believes there is no such thing as an angry person. It is stigmatizing and labeling a person that does not allow them to be anything else.
Anger management doesn't work. It is just treating a symptom and not looking underneath or within to why a person is angry in the first place. Understand and heal the root cause and there will be no anger.
Bronwyn gives examples of integrative exercises that can help you unpack the anger you hold inside and give it back to the rightful owner.
Learn more about triggers, anger, and integrative exercises on her podcast, Angry at the Right Things.

Have you ever been stuck in a negative mood? I have more than I'd like to admit.
In today’s episode, I will share with you 10 things that I ask myself that provide clues into the way I am thinking, feeling, behaving and showing up for myself and to the world around me.
It starts with awareness, asking ourselves a few questions and deciding to do something different.
10 things to ask yourself about when you are in a bad mood:
1. Schedule
2. Sleep
3. Exercise
4. Food Intake
5. Thoughts
6. Body Feeling
7. Expectations
8. Communication
9. Focus
10. Tasks
We all have bad days once in awhile. When they start becoming a string of days, it’s time to take a step back, ask ourselves some questions, and gain a little insight. Then from our answers, we can choose differently. We can choose to take a break, get a little more rest, move our body, fuel ourselves with nutritious food, show appreciation for the moment, be grateful, have a conversation with a loved one, express our thoughts and needs, tackle a project you have been wanting to do, or take a pause to breathe in life for a moment.

This is a summary of Dr. Tom Ingegno's, The Cupping Book. I received this book and cups as a gift for having Dr. Tom on my podcast in August (see Episode on August 16th). He did not ask me to read his book nor did he ask me to give a review of it. I am just sharing this book summary as it aligns with my mission to help bring Positive Solutions to you, my listeners, that can transform your life from the inside out.
In this book summary, I summarize what cupping is, give a brief history of this ancient practice, what cupping is beneficial for, description of the bruising and why it varies in color, and how long the bruising lasts.
To learn more about what type of cups are out there, the types of oils or creams to use, where to get them, how to clean them, Dr. Tom provides all this in his book. He also describes in detail the step by step instructions for how to perform static cupping and sliding cupping techniques.
Dr. Tom really wants to bring the ancient art of cupping back into the homes of anyone and everyone. Find his book on Amazon here. Connect with Dr. Tom at Charm City Integrative Health.

Have you ever wondered how your thoughts, words & emotions affect water? The Japanese water experiment was the work of Dr. Masaru Emoto. He conducted a series of experiments to test the effect of words, thoughts, and emotions on water. He believed that water can pick up the vibrations or energy of certain emotions spoken through words and thoughts and change its molecular structure accordingly. He found positive thoughts and emotions created crystalline structures resembling snowflakes. Negative thoughts or emotions produced ugly, warped and blogs of specimens that were often darker in color. Being made mostly of water, this can have a dramatic effect on our body's composition and the energy we exude. Get in touch with me! Questions you want answered? Giving suggestions or feedback? When you take a bad 5 minutes and turn it into a bad day or 2 or 3 by “milking” it all day, you are doing 3 things. 1. Living in the past. 2. Allowing your feelings to run your life. 3. Acting like a victim. If you don't want to do these things, you can take 5 minutes or less to move on from a bad feeling by shifting your focus in 3 ways. 1. Focus on the present. 2. Focus on the future. 3. Focus on what you can control. “Was it a bad day or was it a bad 5 minutes that you milked all day?” My guess is that it was really just a bad few moments. And you can shift your perspective from a bad day to a bad few moments by focusing on the present and the future and what you can control. How can this perspective shift transform you, your day and your interactions with others?Get in touch with me! Questions you want answered? Giving suggestions or feedback?
