A Bad Day or A Bad 5 Minutes?
When you take a bad 5 minutes and turn it into a bad day or 2 or 3 by “milking” it all day, you are doing 3 things.
1. Living in the past.
2. Allowing your feelings to run your life.
3. Acting like a victim.
If you don't want to do these things, you can take 5 minutes or less to move on from a bad feeling by shifting your focus in 3 ways.
1. Focus on the present.
2. Focus on the future.
3. Focus on what you can control.
“Was it a bad day or was it a bad 5 minutes that you milked all day?” My guess is that it was really just a bad few moments. And you can shift your perspective from a bad day to a bad few moments by focusing on the present and the future and what you can control.
How can this perspective shift transform you, your day and your interactions with others?
